League for Animals and People of the Summit (LAPS)
Mission Statement
LAPS is dedicated to helping control pet overpopulation through spay / neuter funding, as well as, assisting qualified pet owners who live or work in our community with unexpected veterinary bills.
We are excited to announce the launch of our Online Holiday Auction to benefit the League for Animals and People of the Summit (LAPS)! This festive season, we invite you to be a part of something truly special that helps improve the lives of animals and the people who love them in our community.

We have a wide range of unique items and experiences up for bid – from amazing gifts for your loved ones to unforgettable experiences that will bring joy to your holiday season. Every dollar raised will go directly toward supporting the vital work LAPS does for our furry friends and their families.
Item Pickup: All auction items can be picked up at the Summit County Animal Shelter on December 21st. The shelter is located at: 0058 Nancy’s Place, Frisco, CO 80443
Important Dates:
Items must be claimed by December 31st.
Please note: The shelter will be open for half a day on December 24th and will be closed on December 25th.
How You Can Help:
Bid and Win: Visit our online auction and start placing your bids.
Spread the Word: Share the auction link with your friends, family, and colleagues. The more bids, the merrier!
Donate: If you can't participate in the auction, consider making a donation to LAPS to support our mission.

2024 Accomplishments
Medical & Surgical Expenses:
We have provided over $57,000 in medical assistance to community members, helping them address emergency needs for their animals.Low-Income Spay/Neuter Program:
$1,053 invested in assisting low-income pet owners with spaying and neutering their pets.Shelter Spay/Neuter Program:
$15,000 allocated to spaying and neutering shelter animals.
2023 Accomplishments
Over $88,000 in medical assistance to members of our community to help their animals with emergency needs
311 $100 vouchers to help people defray the cost of spay/neuter surgeries at our local veterinarians
Over $17,000 for 206 spay/neuter surgeries preventing over 1000 unwanted animals ending up in shelters
